I worked for myself for 18 years before the economy and my age forced me to close the doors on my home based business. I have tried to work for someone else, but it is just not the same. Working for myself provided me with a good income and allowed me to do things that would have been impossible working for someone else.
I started my business just to make a little more income, but it quickly replaced what I was making at my full time job.

Disadvantages Of Being Self Employed

• Time off is nice but not always possible. You will have to decide if it is important.
• You make the final decisions and will have to live with them.
• Your self employment depends on your activity.
• Without a time clock you will have to be self motivated.
• If it is done your way, it's your fault if it goes wrong.
• Along with tax advantages comes tax headaches. be prepared.
